Greetings to all, on a sunny and positive day, our topic: Celebrating Ourselves!
I have loved reading books and learning ever since I can remember. Sometimes my friends ask me, “Where do you find so many books?” The answer is actually very simple: everything starts with loving a book. I create a new reading list with the references and recommendations of a book I love. In this way, each book opens up to another.
Yesterday, as I thought that the end of 2024 was almost here, I thought about my milestones. What have I achieved this year? Numbers are very important to me. These numbers feel different when they are materialistic, and different when they are spiritual. In other words, the knowledge and inner peace I gained in 2024 deserve to be celebrated more than the money I earned.
And here is that number: I finished 34 books in 2024! That means an average of one book every 10 days. What a great happiness!
My primary school reading diary came to my mind. Unfortunately, I was always an ambitious person and when our teacher asked us to keep this diary, I was trying to break records by reading more pages every day. I say unfortunately because ambition is really a beautiful thing when used correctly and learning how to use it correctly can take a long time, even a lifetime for some…
Anyway, let's get to the point, I reached many successes and milestones in 2024. However, the number 34 is the one that makes me feel the best and deserves to be celebrated. I wanted to share how I achieved this success. I hope it inspires you too…
I strongly advocate that small habits create big effects in my start-up Reppatch. This is something I have completely applied to my real life. So how was it possible for me to finish 1 book in 10 days? I have a habit every morning, waking up with the sunrise and drinking my coffee with pleasure. If I don't have a meeting that important and I am excited about (I can't stop my mind from being full of ideas), I drink that coffee with a book no matter what. In other words, it's actually very simple, I don't keep a diary like I did in primary school and get ambitious anymore. I have a habit that really comes from within me and that I love. My books accompany my coffee. Sometimes I overdo it and read whenever I find some free time, and of course the reason is because of the magnificent authors whose flow I am captivated by. Thank goodness they exist!

Oh, my dear Brené! In her book, Rising Strong, she shares her own experiences so sincerely that you feel the beauty and difficulties of being human in every sentence. What I love most about Brené is that she openly voices the thoughts in our minds that we can't shut up. The book is a great guide to understanding yourself, stopping feeling angry at others, and developing your mental resilience.
